Becoming a mom was the very best thing that has happened in my life, it is the best feeling in the world.
Let me start by introducing myself; I'm 29 years old and I live in Colorado. I've been married to my wonderful husband for eight and a half years. We have two dogs, and now a 9 month old son. He is the light of my life, and the moment I had him was when I came to realize what true love really is. In getting to know him the last 9 months I've been able to recognize who I really am more and more. I know that people change constantly, and I won't be the same person I am today a few years down the road. But I am so happy with the person I have become through the last eight or so years. My husband and I tried for 7 and a half years to have a baby; and after several years of it just not happening we decided to get medical help. We were on a break from said help as the first few attempts had failed (waiting to start the InVitro process) when the most amazing thing happened. I was pregnant; without any medical help at all! I really couldn't believe it, I was so amazed. The next nine months seemed endless; I just couldn't wait to have my little bundle of joy in my arms after truly wanting him for soooo long.
Anyway, now with a healthy (and big!) almost 22 pound nine month old boy I would like to start a new adventure. I feel like through this whole process I have gained and lost friends, as this seems to happen when ones life changes so drastically. But I would like to start a 'mom' group, however not the typcial type. First off, I work full time and I am in school at least part time most of the year. So for other working moms (and dads) out there, I'm trying to put together a group where we can all share ideas and get together on a monthly basis. I would like to have at least one 'play date' per month; for the kids. And would like to have a 'get together' for the parents once a month or at least every couple months. I'm on a new venture and I see a lot of things coming in my future that I'm so excited for, and I look forward to sharing it with everyone here in my blog!
